GELATO

People are absolutely crazy about ice cream in Florence, and the weather helps.
Some of the days the temperature go up to 35 or 36 degrees, and you just can't help but crave for the icy sensation in your mouth.
I personally love ice cream with fruity flavour, or something more refreshing, and I have tried to make ice cream myself since living here. It's really quite simple and some of the recipes I have found online require no use of ice cream machine too!

So, here are some recipes to share: 1 | 2 | 3

MUSEO DEL NOVECENTO

There finally a museum dedicated to modern art in Florence. Open on 24 June (Festivity of the Saint Patron of Florence, St. John the Baptist), the museum is free at entrance for the first day.
It's located in Piazza Santa Maria Novella and is just opposite of the Basilica.
Inside a historical building, you can see modern art pieces of Italian artists from early 20th century onward.

FIESOLE

Since we now live only 10 minutes (by car) away from Fiesole, we have visited here twice in the past three weeks.
It's a truly beautiful and peaceful place to be with a spetacular view of the Florence city.

THE GARDEN

The apartment we're living in Florence has a lovely garden where grows roses, daisies, mint...and many other beautiful plants. Every morning we wake up to see the full sunshine in the garden and feeling content.

MOVING TO ITALY

I went to Florence last winter for two months, and had a really incredible time there.
The beauty of tuscany and people's appreciation on art... were all very inspiring to me.
And this time, I'll be staying for 6 months, to learn Italian and begin a new life with my boyfriend. We'll get to see the summer, the autumn and a little bit of winter too. I'm sure it will be a good one.
So stay tuned, more travel news on its way :-)
